Silé Edwards is Literary Agent’s Assistant at Curtis Brown, where she works with Cathryn Summerhayes. Silé tells us about her main tasks and responsibilities, and the skills which are important to become a literary agent. She also talks about her favourite initiatives by the Publishers Association, where she worked before, and Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity that helps marginalised young people succeed in the creative industries. After the recent Black Lives Matter protests in the US and Europe, Silé points out how important it is to truly listen to the voices of Black people in the Publishing industry and act on it.
