In the Chinese tradition, the 7th lunar month is the time when we make offerings to our departed ones. What did Buddha actually say in regards to the plight of the departed and as relatives and friends what can we to help them that is beneficial to them and ourselves? Sylvia Bay offers a short reflection and a reading of the Tirokuṭṭa Sutta Kp 7 - The Beyond the Walls Discourse. And we can share merits anytime.
