There will be some big aha moments in today's conversation. First off, you can be successful even if your email list is small. Also, your list may be more extensive than you initially thought. Your prospects aren't limited. We all have to start somewhere, so everyone's list is small at some point. Fortunately, I have a networking expert here to teach us how to lean into our network and find the right potential customers, whether we are just starting or changing our offering and expertise.
Robbie Samuels is a Virtual Event Design Consultant and Executive Zoom Producer. He provides virtual event design strategies and relationship-based business strategies. It's his goal to help us make the most of our virtual event experiences. He's the host of the On The Schmooze podcast, where he interviews professionals who've achieved success in their field or industry. He's the author of Croissants vs. Bagels: Strategic, Effective, and Inclusive Networking at Conferences and Small List, Big Results: Launch a Successful Offer No Matter the Size of Your Email List, which we are talking about today.
Some of the things we talk about are how your network can be an extension of your list. You can also bring your network with you no matter what you're working on. We mean people you know, have met, and social platform friends. We talk about getting clear on who you intend to serve and not serve. Mindset is a big part of this. Don't presume you know what others will be interested in. We also touch on being clear about who you serve, translating into referrals. Robbie gives us a step-by-step breakdown of how he wakes up his network. We talk about Zoom calls, listening intentionally, and more list and networking gold.
And be sure to subscribe to The Self-Employed Life in Apple podcasts or follow us on Spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts so you don’t miss an episode.
