YMCA's across the nation serve as community hubs where members can exercise, learn new skills, gather with fellow members of their faith, swim, dance, and more. And as CEO of the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA Matt Mitchell explains, the collective goal of the organization is to adapt to the needs of their individual communities. So when the pandemic began last year, and members were having difficulty finding child care and food, the YMCA stepped in to provide, at no small cost to themselves.
