Fear based care in America has been dictating women’s births for years. Healthcare professionals are fearful of repercussions and this leads to the use of fear based education when providing care to patients. Ergo, birthing people often feel pressured into making decisions because they are scared or concerned about something. This can leave new parents, especially women, feeling out of control and taken advantage of. HeHe sits down with Shana Dewitt who has had two very different birth experiences. Shana walks us through her birth stories and the feelings of being pressured into . She gets down right and dirty about all the feels, but instead of grabbing your tissues, I urge you to grab your books to educate yourself on the choices you have when it comes to your birth experience.
