Another week has passed and the anticipation of the new consoles arriving is getting almost unbearable for us, but alas, we carry on. Fortunately, we’ve got a great way to take your minds off the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 for the time being in the form of TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 54. It features more topics than you can shake a stick at, including digital events, adverts in games, our favourite bugs and glitches, the upcoming horror Scorn, and tons of other stuff. There’s even an announcement regarding our latest giveaway to celebrate a YouTube subscriber milestone!
Joining podcast regulars Gareth and James this week is Edgar, who launches straight into a detailed description of a sick and twisted Spanish horror he’s been watching on Netflix, The Platform. In keeping with the sinister vibes, Gareth caught up with The Handmaid’s Tale and additionally has been humbled by a ton of awards for his very own short film - Last Day. Meanwhile, James steers the conversation towards virtual events, like concerts, becoming the new normal.
That leads the trio onto the Xbox Series X|S launch events being planned by Xbox and whether it’ll be worth attending virtually. Elsewhere in the news, Ubisoft outlined post-release content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and 2K have received criticism for introducing unskippable in-game ads to NBA 2K21. And then there’s a deep delve into the latest footage to emerge for the grotesque horror Scorn. Afterwards, the team shares their thoughts on a range of games they’ve played recently, such as Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?!, Raji: An Ancient Epic, and Cloudpunk.
In a light-hearted segment to see out the episode, Gareth, James and Edgar bring up some of the best, weirdest and frustrating bugs/glitches they’ve ever come across in gaming.
But wait, there’s more, because in celebration of TheXboxHub reaching 3000 subscribers on YouTube, we’re giving away headsets and games. Be sure to check out the competitions offering a chance win one of two EPOS | SENNHEISER headsets (a massive thanks to EPOS | SENNHEISER) and one of five Xbox One codes for Friday The 13: Killer Puzzle (a massive thanks to Blue Wizard Digital).
