Slow and steady describes the WeldCor Supplies CAODC Podcast for August 2020. As we reach our one year anniversary, both operating days (drilling rigs) and operating hours (service rigs) are up month over month. Check out the CAODC RigData Industry Update for all of July’s numbers (3:40).
Then we’re joined by Dr. Mark Milke, Executive Director of Research for the Canadian Energy Centre (9:45). Dr. Milke takes us through two of the Centre’s recent studies: Evaluating the Canadian Oil and Gas Sector’s GHG Emissions Intensity Record, and Big Oil is Mainly Small Oil in Canada: Energy Oil and Gas Firm Comparisons by Size and Country. This timely research provides great information to counter those sacred cows of opposition to Canadian oil and gas, "Dirty Oil" and "Big Oil".
It’s great to have air conditioning in this heat! Turn it up, thank a Canadian oil and gas worker near you, and enjoy August’s episode. If you like what you hear, please give us a like or share, and if you have any ideas for the show, please send a note to communications@caodc.ca.
