Virginia Tech doctoral student Jack Stack really likes to study fossil fish. When he's not doing that, he likes to talk about them. In this episode, Anders Halverson talks to Jack about the evolutionary history of fishes from the Cambrian to the Anthropocene. Where did the marvelous diversity of ray-finned fishes come from? What happened to the jawless and lobe-finned lineages? What does this all mean for fisheries conservation today?
