Should we hold a Cultivate Farms event?
We have been kicking around the idea of an event held by Cultivate Farms. We know the power of bringing people together in one space to talk about a topic. And to get aspiring and retiring farmers in the same place could be a brilliant way to get farm ownership and transition discussions going. And to get you fired up.
Are you thinking about the right farm or the farm you can afford now?
When talking to aspiring farmers we ask them what their farm ownership plans are. They respond by providing a vision for their farm based on what they could afford to buy right now. 10 acres, 100 acres, a few livestock. What we want you to start thinking about is the farm that you know you can run and make really profitable. Don’t let your access to capital be the limiting factor. We can worry about the pathway to get there later.
You should be sharing Cultivate Farms content with people you want to influence
We want to reemphasise to all of our aspiring farmers that social media is the best way of you getting your message out to people who could help you get onto your farm.
