304 Marie Alessi: Hope, Healing and Happiness after Loss is Your Choice

Marie Alessi is a mother to two boys, a bestselling Author, Legacy Coach & TEDx Speaker. After her husband passed from a brain aneurysm, she chose a rather unconventional path. She chose Joy. It was the one they had both wanted for their young boys. Rob had taught her the concept of two choices – and this one was made in his honour to continue his legacy. Marie has become a shining example of choosing Love over fear and sadness.
In her movement "Loving Life after Loss", Marie offers hope, healing and happiness to the world when people expect it the least and need it the most.                        

In Marie's words:
When we experience loss in our life, we often feel powerless, like we didn’t get a say in this. We feel helpless - and, therefore, often forget the choices we do have. We can always choose how we respond to the life presented to us. Healing is a choice - and so is happiness. It all starts with a decision!

1. Find those that can hold space for you without judgment.
2. Allow help in - we don’t heal well in isolation!
3. There is opportunity in grief, I call it “hidden gifts”.
