In this episode we talk with Sue Byrne, Director of ByrneBright Solutions.
We discussed Sue's personal story of her experience with management and leadership throughout her career and go into the details of a tough situation she had to go through. Facing imminent strike from employees and the threat of closure from company executives, Sue was given a short timeframe in which to turnaround the manufacturing site she was now at the helm of! Sue shares her thoughts of being tough and having the right mindset that helped get her through this situation.
Gaining trust from the employees as a key attribute to the successful outcome of this situation. She developed buy-in from the staff, built relationships between management and factory staff and was ultimately able to turn the site around.
If we wait until we are ready or the time is perfect, the time will never be right. This was something Sue shared and we discuss the ability of being adapt after throwing yourself into the deep end and growth comes at the end of your comfort zone.
