You’ve probably had one of the following thoughts before - “once I hit fully booked, or once I start getting paid the rate that I want to get paid, or once I get that first client through the door, or once I hit that money goal, I'm finally going to feel relieved, proud, content and secure”.
From my own journey, and my observation of MFR therapists, I realize that it isn't the circumstance of more money, clients, or having a fully booked schedule that creates a feeling of security, contentment, or pride, it's your thought about the circumstance you are in and most importantly, it's your thought about yourself that can change your experience.
Your lack of a healthy relationship with yourself is keeping you and your business smaller than you are capable of creating. If you want to thrive in all areas of your life, you must create a healthy relationship with yourself. And it’s not as easy as it sounds. Loving and accepting yourself for who you are, takes a lot of work. It’s a process that involves a great deal of self-reflection. But this work is essential.
