This week it's Red State vs. Blue State as we dive into the exceptional, satirical slasher "Tone-Deaf" from writer/director Richard Bates Jr. We here at ITMOD are massive fans of Bates' previous work, and we're happy to report that "Tone-Deaf" is easily one of our favorite films of the year. What a treat it is to talk to Bates about his new film as we discuss the influences behind it, the challenges of casting the picture, and the way he balanced a variety of genres to produce this rad mash-up.
Be sure to check out the film when it lands in theaters this Friday, and follow the podcast on Instagram and Twitter @ITMODCast. If you're feeling extra generous, you can even follow the hosts @MouthDork & @WBDass.
