NYC Jazz Clubbing

This podcast reviews some of the great music I had the pleasure of seeing on a recent trip to NYC. Harold Mabern (age 81) plays with the energy and chops of someone half his age. Ravi Coltrane performed a moving tribute to his mother Alice Coltrane at Jazz Gallery. Accompanying Ravi was harpist Brandee Younger. We also were turned on to a tremendous vocalist, Melissa Morgan in a live performance at the Side Door jazz club in CT.
