So people have told you that webinars are dead, but are they really? Can you still use a webinar to launch your product?
My response? It is absolutely not true. I’m here today to tell you that digital product launches with webinars are not dead. In fact, they are the exact opposite.
Using a webinar to launch your digital product is a perfectly viable and smart option for you to pursue. Webinars are in fact, alive and well. Take it from me, I regularly host webinars and I love them.
The trick is to ensure that your webinar is created, promoted and delivered in the proper way in order for you to get the most out of them.
It's true that some product launches with webinar attempts do flop. There are some webinars that are a complete bust and thus their product launch fails miserably. If you're using a webinar as a means to get new people to buy your product and your webinar flops, then obviously your launch is probably not going to go off so well.
I’ve seen it happen - one time I attended a webinar in support of a friend and I couldn't help but cringe the entire time. There were so many things that went wrong between the technology, the delivery of the content, and then the pitch at the end was just really, really bad. I can’t imagine that it generated a whole lot of sales.
So yes, there is absolutely such a thing as a webinar launch that fails miserably, but that’s not a hard and fast rule. Just because some webinars fail does not mean everyone's webinar will fail. The same is true for any other launch event, whether that be a 5-day challenge or something else entirely.
I found that there are a few big reasons why webinars fail. Don’t let the rumor that webinars are dead hold you back if you’re considering launching a product with a webinar, but DO keep these tips and tricks in mind to make your launch as successful as possible!
