Welcome to this episode of Someone Gets Me, where we explore what it means to be mentally hijacked and how to recognize and recover from it. Mental hijacking is when our thinking is taken over by outside influences that may not be serving us. This could be due to fear, stress, or being overwhelmed with input. In this episode, we will discuss five steps to help you identify whether you’re mentally hijacked and how to come out of it.
The first step is to get curious. Check out the energy and explore your options.
The second step is to allow your creativity to emerge and focus on your personal mission.
The third step is to center and ground yourself by using your breath.
The fourth step is to clear your mind and focus lovingly on your own world.
The fifth step is to give yourself a feedback loop and look for the good and the opportunity.
Finally, it is important to give yourself time and space to reset. That could be something as simple as taking a break, a walk, being with your pet, or something bigger like going away for a retreat.
