Episode 172 features my friend Paul Joyce of the Baltimore based band Megazillion. He just released a brand new album called “Triple Phoenix” and I would describe it has having a lot of early (70s/80s) punk rock influences as well as some experimental and psychedelic undertones. Paul grew up in heyday of the hardcore scene in New York which I have to imagine greatly shaped his style of writing. We a had a really fun in depth conversation about all sorts of topics in this episode including music, writing, dreams, bartending, psychology, and books. So if you are friends or fans of Paul’s I think you’ll probably learn something you didn’t know about him before. I featured the tracks “Good Guys” and “Sheep of Doom” respectively. You can find Megazillion’s music on all the usual streaming platforms and also find them socials. Links Below.
