A Candid Conversation about Systemic Racism with three terrific panelists: Candace Hutson, san Juanita Baldwin, & Star Poole!
Jodi and I were very moved by the stories and experiences of these fantastic women.
Candace Hutson:
Working full time, married with 3 children, and running a charity Candace still found time to encourage and help students on their college journey inspired by her own. In 2014, she became an Academic Success Coach and College Planning Consultant. As the owner of Be Encouraged LLC, she assists students with time management, study habits, organization and self-advocacy. It is her gift to get students to know who they really are inside and outside of the classroom. Candace serves as a beacon of light for families overwhelmed with the college process providing them with support, guidance and relief. Throughout the years, she has been able to help countless students and families.
Self proclaimed your “Professional Encourager,” Candace can be found speaking at Women Empowerment events, at your local PTA meeting, on social media giving a word and since 2019 on her podcast “Candid Conversations with Candy.” Although she has faced challenges in life, she believes she was chosen to break dysfunctional generational cycles. Candace is a first generation graduate. Working with her own niece she became the second as a graduate of the first HBCU Lincoln University. In 2019, Candace’s son, her HU baby began his collegiate journey at North Carolina A&T State University finishing his first semester with a 4.0. It is Candace’s testimony that God will give you beauty for ashes.
