Many of you have expressed curiosity about this new chapter in my life, having just moved to a small but vibrant Spanish beach town.
So today, I'm taking you along with me for a walk around my neighborhood to give you some insight into what I've been experiencing and thinking about since arriving and beginning to get settled:
- My experiences and reflections on moving from rural North Carolina to Sitges
- New food habits: shopping and cooking
- Dealing with inconveniences and not viewing them as deal breakers
- Experiencing feelings of incompetence living in a foreign country where I don’t speak the language fluently and don't understand the cultural rules and expectations
- Thinking about strategies for making big changes when those changes make us feel awkward and uncomfortable because we no long know what we're doing
In short, I'm discovering in real time how to Plant Myself in a new environment while still holding fast to the things that are most important to me.
