Episode 106: Play to your strengths at work for a happier healthier life – An interview with Gemma McFall

In this episode Matt chats with Gemma McFall. Gemma has 15 years experience working in HR and is a Clifton Strengths Coach.

Think of the CliftonStrengths assessment like a gardener evaluating a variety of seeds. Each seed (or individual) has the potential to grow into a unique plant (or display a unique strength), but only if it's planted in the right environment and given the proper care. Just as a gardener wouldn't expect a sunflower seed to thrive in the shade, we can't expect a person to excel in an area that doesn't align with their natural talents. The assessment helps identify what kind of "seed" each person is, so they can be "planted" in the right role and "nurtured" in a way that allows them to grow and flourish, ultimately leading to a more vibrant and productive "garden" (or workplace).
