The question is that our life is pretty much the sum total of our relationships whether those are relationships with the loved ones or people at work, personal, interpersonal, professional, social, any kind of relationship. That is usually what bothers people and is the root cause of all grief in most people’s lives. We could be chanting, meditating and so on and yet you still feel out of control at times, you still feel challenged or you still feel all those things that you do leading a normal life and you don’t know what to do?
I think the most helpless feeling one can experience is to not have control on one’s self. It’s a very weakening feeling. When you don’t want to be a certain way, when you don’t want to think certain things, when you don’t want to do certain things and yet you find your mind is not listening to you. Then, you question everything naturally. You feel why I am unable to do this? So, how to rise above this?
Listen to this profound discourse by Om Swami on how to deal with conflicting relationships and ways to rise above them.
