In this discourse, the questions asked were - What can one do to discover their life's purpose and how important is it to know one's past life and the connected sadhana.
Om Swami says some people may be lucky that they find their purpose early in their lives. If you only know one way you can never get lost. Confusion arises when you know more than one way and when one doesn't follow any path with sincerity. Some people discover their purpose early on in their lives, due to training, childhood, and the atmosphere in their homes. But some people don't discover their purpose, and there are two kinds of people in this category. The first kind of people are those that keep going from one path to another, one ideology to another, etc. and are often seen complaining. No one can help them as they are going with an assumption that the discovery of purpose is going to be a Eureka moment which isn't true. The second kind of people dedicate themselves to something. Whatever you dedicate your time to that will become the purpose of your life. There is no joy, in the beginning, it is all about the training. Joy and enjoyment come later.
How important is past life in finding the right sadhana? It isn't important at all. What is really important is to start somewhere. The truth is the one who does sadhana eventually will get somewhere. The results of sadhana most certainly will come to the persistent sadhak. It is undeniable, and sadhana is there for anyone to practice and see for themselves. One just really needs determination, discipline, persistence, and passion.

"What is that one thing you live for, something which, without, even life isn’t worth it? And, what you stand for can’t be another person because if your passion is just another person when he or she changes or withdraws, your entire life will come crumbling down like a house of cards. Your purpose should be bigger than a person. Ideally, it should even be bigger than you. You’ll feel free, worthwhile, and meaningful then." https://os.me/what-should-i-do-with-my-life/
