The questions asked in this discourse are around the correct posture for students and incurring karma by certain actions.
First Question - What is the correct posture of studying for students? Om Swami says, slouching in any given situation is not a good posture. As much as possible a straight back is a phenomenal thing to have. Routine will give you the motivation to have the discipline required. To even sit straight it requires discipline. In the beginning, your back might hurt but as you progress it won't. Some yogic texts say it’s the hallmark of an accomplished yogi to have even shoulders and a straight back.
Second Question - When one does something and the other person gets hurt, do you incur karma upon yourself. There isn’t an absolute answer here, it depends on a variety of factors. Generally speaking, one is not responsible for other people’s feelings, but if you have made a promise implicit or otherwise, naturally they have a reason to feel hurt. But if you haven’t made such a promise, and they have assumed on their own, then all you have to do is clarify your position. In the long run, it will pay off, it is the right thing to do.

"The answer is quite simple when you do something out of choice; you are creating new karma, and, when you are forced to do something, you are simply repaying your karmic debt. The former will have the consequences, good or bad, drawn up for you; the latter can be tended by managing your karmic store or sanchita karma in other words." https://os.me/what-is-karma-types-of-karmic-imprints-in-life/
