The first question is that sometimes you lose your motivation right at the last stretch of doing something. When it is time to reap the rewards, you just throw the towel and say, “I can’t do it anymore.” Why? What to do?
Sometimes you lose motivation in meditation at the last stretch. You feel like giving up when you feel like you are there almost.
Till something is totally done you cannot really say that it is almost done or eighty percent done. When you feel that ninety percent of the work is done, actually only nine percent would be done. It is an illusion to feel that majority of the work is done. The 80/20 rule is good to keep in mind. Usually eighty percent of the work gets done fast but the remaining twenty percent would actually take eighty percent of your time and you will have to put in all the effort.
Motivation is something that has to worked on every day, and day after day. You have to work at it constantly. Usually when challenges hits people, most of them may give up. Not giving up and carrying on differentiates between good and great people ultimately.
