Is it better to get your flights and then contact the agent or check with the agent about dates and then look for flights?

How horrible is the disney transportation sitch there? Going 3rd week in Oct and from what ive read/heard, its bad. Hate spending soo much $ to waste time waiting for everything. Going with some 1st timers we hope wont be turned off. Some ADD kids in group not so great with lines

 

I am thinking about bringing my camel pack to WDW .. it’slike a backpack but for water. Will they be ok with that in the parks?
