"Ich verlange, dass jeder Soldat der Armee durchdrungen ist von dem Gefühl unbedingter Überlegenheit" forderte Hermann Hoth 1941 im "Unternehmen Barbarossa", wie die Nazis den Ostfeldzug gegen die Sowjetunion getarnt nannten. 

Hoth war ein skrupelloser Berufsoffizier, durch und durch Militär und ein glühender Antisemit - einer der schlimmsten Generäle im Vorgehen gegen die Zivilbevölkerung und die Juden.
