The EU needs to find ways to protect families and businesses from soaring energy costs. That was the plea made by Italy’s Prime Minister this morning during his address to the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Mario Draghi told MEPs, there’s a need to moderate people’s bills and fuel prices to ensure sanctions against Russia are more sustainable. And he said Italy has been calling on the EU to put a ceiling on gas prices imported from Russia.
