What is masking? It is pretending or putting up a facade to the world that everything is ok. Or that you are someone that you are not. Commonly people feel they “should” be more organized or they don’t want people to know they are struggling with things in life that they feel other people don’t struggle with.

The more you put the mask on to hide who you really are or what you are really struggling with – the more you are saying “I am not good enough, I am not worthy” and you are pushing yourself away from who you truly are and you are making your symptoms worse. The longer I wore the mask the more resentful I became. The more resentful I became more chaos in the mind.
