The main problem is there is a loop you have programmed into your mind that, if left unabated, can slide you right back into a pattern you already know you are tired of playing. We know what success feels like. No matter how often someone tries to convince me they are a failure, I can find countless examples of times they've succeeded. Let's get into the meat of the FEEDBACK LOOP you are running in. One leads you toward accomplishment. The other leads you to despair. Once I ring this bell, you won't be able to unhear it.
