Let's Talk About Social Emotional Learning And Emotional Power Games - Katie Miller | TSPS #040
Our guest speaker of the hour is Katie Miller. As the parent of a teenager, Katie Miller was surprised to hear the staggering statistic that there were approximately 3,000 teen suicide attempts daily last year. This is for the US only and does not include those who died. And this was before COVID-19, now the numbers are continuing to rise. Katie was introduced to Social Intelligence Learning and realized that this could be the key to help children break open the walls that have been created by not talking about our emotions. What better way to help all family members to better express/discuss their feelings than through games? Katie Miller is a published author and one of the co-founders of the Teen Suicide Prevention Society.
