Akilah A. Jefferson Shah, MD, MSc is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Allergy, and Immunology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine (UAMS). She completed her allergy and immunology fellowship training at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID/NIH) and residency in internal medicine at The George Washington University Hospital.
She received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and her BA in Bioethics from Brown University. She is also trained in health policy and bioethics, completing post-graduate degrees in both fields at Georgetown University and the National Institutes of Health.
