“Most people are in a box of some kind. But what they don't realize is that they're actually not in a box. They're actually standing in between four pillars and can walk out at any point in time.” -Jen Hardy
The world we live in is not always a safe place. Women and girls are disproportionately targeted for violence, sometimes even in their own homes.
When you think about it, there's no reason a woman should have less right to defend herself than a man does—and if she does have less right, then that means she has less power in her own life. If she doesn't have power over her own body and her own ability to protect herself from harm, then who does?
We can do a lot more to protect ourselves than just learning how to hit and kick. It's important that we recognize the importance of those other kinds of protective measures— learning how to not be afraid of your own feelings anymore and learning how to take care of yourself so that you can take care of others better.
In this episode, Ann interviews NLP Coach Jen Hardy. Ann and Jen discuss how to get past the fear o speaking up, how to be dangerously C.U.T.E., why we should trust our gut, and the biggest tool women have at their disposal.
