Hi! I'm rapidly just posting last week's show because it's time for THIS week's show again and, y'know, what even is "time management"?? On this episode, after I figure out some technical problems (natch) Dr. Nick and I got into some discussions about, well, politics. Politics feel like a third rail for me on this program sometimes, because we're trained in our culture to separate politics from, well, everything but especially our mental health. And it makes SENSE that we do that as well, because it can feel so helpless to look at big problems of society and government, to look at massive scale systemic injustice, it's easy to go "what's the point of even thinking about this, it only causes me anxiety and depression and there's literally nothing I can do about it, might as well ignore it as best i can." So I asked Dr. Nick about things I can DO. Is it good or bad to stick your head in the sand for preservation of sanity? Lots of good questions, no easy simple answers I guess, but that was at least the general arena of discussion for last week. I hope you get something useful out of it.
