In this episode I speak with Sharada Maddox, her first marathon time was 4:01:38 in 2014. She is one of the All-Time Best African American Female Marathoners, after running 2:53:07 at the 2021 London Marathon finishing in 36th place.
We talk about the impact that Marilyn Bevans, the LA jets, the Black Roses has on both her running and life.
In modern life in the word failure gets a bad reputation, in this part of the conversation Sharada discusses a couple of areas where we as runners can reframe failure, and see it as a stepping stone to development.
Plus we spoke about so much more in this conversation which definitely needs a part two!
You can follow her on journey on instagram @sharadamaddox
