Business Infrastructure - Curing Back Office Blues
Business:Entrepreneurship
We’re headed further east to Bali, Indonesia as the next stop on our 12-country tour this season. Our host here in this Pacific paradise is a chemical engineer turned “million-dollar sales guy,” Desmond Dixon.
When he made the decision to leave behind a lucrative STEM career and instead venture into the world of high-pitch sales, Desmond did not know where it would lead him. But one thing he knew for sure was that he wanted to be a part of it! Following a brief stint providing holistic services in the health and wellness industry, he stood up to the challenge of scaling a startup. This led to him working in Ukraine, an experience that opened a Pandora’s box of international work and travel.
In this episode, Desmond shares the details of how he set up his U.S.-based companies, CXO Republic and RemoteSalesManager.io, to provide sales staffing and training services to other businesses around the world. This includes a detailed conversation about applying for visas, his strategy for pricing services and receiving payments, and building a fully remote team.
One thing’s for sure – Desmond does not let dust collect on his shoes! So, buckle your seatbelts as he takes us on an international journey that spans Hawaii, Ukraine, Mexico, Greece, and more! Find out what it takes for an American entrepreneur to become a digital nomad. Even if this lifestyle isn’t feasible for you, you’re sure to learn some things that you can apply to digitize and streamline your company’s back-office operations!
