This talk, "Sigālovada Sutta DN31 (Part Two)" was given by Sylvia Bay at the invitation of KL Dhamma Friends via zoom meeting on 12 July 2020.
In this sequel, Sylvia Bay shared what Buddha had taught Sigāla in terms of financial planning which remains timeless to this day and how to have harmonious relationships in lay life. The springboard of relationships with different parties first stems from a harmonious parent and child relationship and underlying all relationships are the mental states of generosity, respect, consideration and other wholesomeness without expectations from another; and in how one behaves and conducts oneself, the other corresponding party would reciprocate if they too, have the same mundane wisdom.
This sutta fully explained in two parts by Sylvia, is a go-to Dhamma talk for all lay people to live a fruitful and joyous lay life.
