The Dollar AND Difference Show
Business
Listen to our interview with native Kansas Citian and fellow Jayhawk, Andrew Stanley. Andrew is the founder of VolunteerMark, a social enterprise designed to enhance the volunteer experience for nonprofits and charities as well as for volunteers. Andrew was frustrated with the lack of coordination and efficiency he found when tried to volunteer with many local organizations. In 2011, Andrew began working on a way to solve this problem, which led to the creation of VolunteerMark. VolunteerMark is an online software application that helps nonprofit organizations and their volunteers maximize the volunteer experience through communication, scheduling and reporting tools. Using the mobile-friendly software, nonprofit organizations can easily manage volunteer opportunities, schedule multiple shifts at once, recruit new volunteers, communicate through multiple platforms and track volunteer data.
Andrew shares some great messages with us in this interview and really breaks down what it truly means to be a social entrepreneur. He mentions the strategies, struggles, and successes that have made VolunteerMark to achieve a social impact of over 1,000 volunteers in just one year. Andrew also reveals the source of daily inspiration in a Mother Theresa quote,
“We can’t do great things in this life, we can only do little things with great love.
