“I was a stay-at-home mom, became addicted to drugs, lost custody of my children, got into long term recovery, and started a New Orleans recovery community.” So begins this revealing and vulnerable conversation with Felicia Montiforte Kleinpeter, co-founder and CEO of Imagine Recovery, one of the foremost recovery communities in New Orleans. After a car accident, Kleinpeter developed an addiction to painkillers that led to a years-long spiral. Her greatest reinvention came when she sought treatment at an all-female recovery center. "It's such a great opportunity to learn about ourselves and dig deep and create a whole new life," she tells CoveyClub founder Lesley Jane Seymour. Learn how Kleinpeter turned her greatest struggle into her life’s work. If you are struggling with addiction, Kleinpeter invites you to reach out to her directly via cell phone at (225) 937-1132 or email at felicia@imaginerecovery.com.
