You're probably familiar with the phrase, "It's not what you know, it's who you know." My guest today, Julie Brown, shares just how true this common idiom really is!
85% of companies know that building relationships affects their bottom line and the success and profitability of their company, but only 26% have an actual strategy for building and maintaining relationships.
We're not taught relationship-building and networking in school (at least, not on purpose). Julie Brown fell into the art and science of networking and training others to do it better, by realizing how important it was for the companies she was working for.
The more she grew relationships and learned about others, the more consistently she got new opportunities and bigger projects.
