Tattooed Freaks in Business Suits
Business:Careers
Ghosting (noun): the practice of ending a relationship with someone by suddenly and without explanation withdrawing from all communication. While originally used in the dating world, job seekers are now turning this horrible practice into their own job search. Recruiters are left sitting in conference rooms after an interviewee doesn’t show up. Employers are left eyeballing empty doorways after the new hire decides to pull a no-call, no-show for their first day of work. And yes, employers have been doing this same silence act on job seekers for decades. What’s going on here? Today’s guest is John Bohannon, co-owner of Pridestaff in Arvada, CO, as we discuss how damaging ghosting really is for both the candidates and the employers – and what can be done to repair these relationships.
