In this week’s episode we have a round table discussion all about getting THE period!
Four women share their earliest memories of getting their period. The excitement, the fear, the questions, the suppression and shame that showed up in these varying experiences. In this tell all, we connect to what it was like as we transitioned from child to woman — what happened, where we were, how we learned to used a tampon and what stories about periods live on in our own homes today.
If we want more, better, for our children, our young women (and men!) and for ourselves we need to move forward by letting go of the shame and yuck of our scared bleed and lean in on our power, divine and intuition. The story needs to change - and that starts with going back to our own beginning, talking openly, and choosing to rewrite it for our children, our sisters, our mothers, our grandmothers.
That story changes today!
