Drinking water: it’s the healthy substitute for sugary drinks, but what does it take to enable children (and everyone) to choose water as First for Thirst? This webinar will provide a framework for approaching drinking water considerations and will include both research findings and real-life examples to illustrate each element in the framework (drinking water safety, access, and education and promotion). It will provide an overview of key federal policies related to drinking water safety and access to it, with a focus on school and childcare settings. We will then look at state, local and organizational policy approaches to making water the easy and appealing choice. Before the webinar’s close you will learn steps you can take to advocate for water.
