Today I chat with Angie Read about overcoming adversity and dealing with anxiety and change.
Angie Read is a driven and devoted mother of three who had a massive stroke at age 46. She had a career she loved and thrived in, one she never expected to be ripped away without warning. Following more than 25 successful years as a public relations professional, she took a career detour and co-authored a book about marketing to Gen Z. She had plans of traveling the world to speak about this topic.
But the Universe had other plans. After her stroke, she was plagued by post-stroke anxiety (PSA) and post-stroke depression (PSD), and had to use every resource available to survive the lies her brain was telling her.
Today, Angie is back in fighting form. She has returned to the communications career she so thoroughly enjoys. Now, Angie is sharing her story-and the tips and tools that helped her survive-to help as many fellow stroke survivors as possible. Because nobody has to struggle alone. There is hope!
There are lots of things that we talk about today that are very applicable to OCD and I hope you enjoy and find it helpful.
