An Irish MEP is demanding the competition commission investigates petrol prices after dramatic falls in the price of oil on the global markets over the last few months. At the end of last year brent was trading at around $68 per barrel, today it is around $37.
Fianna Fail's Billy Kelleher believes Irish motorists are being short-changed and that the benefits of the price cuts are not being reflected at petrol pumps in Ireland.
He's written to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission demanding an investigation.
