This week on the podcast I am joined by Dr. Melissa McCreery. Melissa is a psychologist, author, host of the Too Much on Her Plate podcast, and founder of the Your Missing Peace program where she helps smart, high-performing women end cycles of overeating and emotional eating - without diets, willpower, or deprivation. Over 39,000 women worldwide have taken her free Hidden Hungers Quiz online and her approach has been featured in numerous publications including The Wall Street Journal, Fitness, CNN Health, Real Simple, and Self.
On this episode we talk about how we can use psychology, the brain and mindset to create changes with overeating, and why “diets” have mentally warped our perspective on food. We also discuss how our body image perceptions are tied to “good” and “bad” food, how our sense of self-worth and our lifestyles relate to emotional eating, and so much more!
