In this episode, you’ll hear from Ajeet on:
[11.16] Her personal spirituality. Ajeet believes that spirituality is woven into every aspect of life. She doesn’t need to meditate or visit a temple to experience inner peace; she sees the divine in her daily existence, in the sanctuary of her home and in the love of her friends and family.[17.44] Ajeet’s eclectic musical and religious influences. She shares how her childhood exposure to traditional Irish music, Catholicism, kundalini yoga and sacred chant has helped to shape her unique spiritual and musical path.
[24.33] Music as meditation. Ajeet acknowledges the power of music to create a place of stillness and contemplation and reveals how the experience of playing or listening to music can produce the same profound healing effect as meditation.
[27.57] Creativity and collaboration. Working with other musicians to produce something totally original and unique is Ajeet’s favorite part of the creative process. She is grateful for her yoga and meditation practice for keeping her in contact with her authentic self and open to receiving ideas from other artists.
[51.22] Moon meditations, Ajeet discusses her new EP, which contains four tracks focused on the phases of the moon, and is designed to connect listeners to the energy and rhythms of the lunar cycle.
