Technology
As part of the journal club series, this presentation will focus on the article titled: “WIC Participants’ Perspectives About Online Ordering and Technology in the WIC Program”. We know that WIC is a federal nutrition program that creates improvements in health and nutrition outcomes, and that WIC enhances health equity. However, just over half of eligible individuals participate in the WIC program. Technology enhancements, such as online shopping and other WIC modernization efforts have the potential to enhance the WIC experience and engage more individuals and families. This presentation will explore research into participants' perspectives on potential technological enhancements in WIC, as a part of user-centered design.
