In this week's episode, I had the pleasure to talk with Kellie Sybersma, a psychotherapist qualifying, about the role of therapy in eating disorder care.
Kellie offers a weight neutral, trauma informed and client centered approach to sessions. Kellie's focus when working with clients is first and foremost to develop a strong therapeutic alliance, which becomes the foundation for working together to overcome challenges and reach goals.
She is passionate about supporting others in reclaiming and nurturing their relationship to themselves and their bodies, while releasing limiting rules and beliefs.
In this episode, we talked about:
1- What is the role of psychotherapy in ED treatment
2- What are the different levels of care
3- 9 types of therapy for ED care
4- How to choose your therapist?
