It is your job to make yourself do the crap that you don't want to do.

You're never going to want to put the 2nd cookie down.When you are a kid - your parents make you do the things you don't want to do. So when you turn 18, who is there to parent you? And if you didn't have good parents, YOU are in a whole other level of need at this point in your life to FOCUS and be deliberate with how you want your life to be.
It CANNOT be your emotions that are running the show here.
You HAVE TO determine who you want to be and how you want to feel. When you know those 2 things you need to set some standards and boundaries and show up for yourself -- and -- make decisions that are in-line with your values of how you want to be.
