Beyond Religious Zeal | Sunday Sermon

In Romans 10:1-4, Paul expresses his deep desire for the Israelites' salvation, despite their zealous but misguided pursuit of righteousness through their own efforts rather than through faith in Christ. Paul notes that their fervor is not based on accurate knowledge of God's righteousness, leading them to establish their own systems of righteousness through strict adherence to the law. This, he argues, is flawed because true righteousness cannot be achieved through human effort but is fulfilled in Christ, who completes and perfects the law. Paul emphasizes that Christ is the fulfillment of the law, offering righteousness to all who believe, thus highlighting the transformative power of the gospel over mere religious zeal.
